Making unfair contracts fair – will changes to the law affect you?

MST Lawyers recently hosted a seminar focussing on changes to the law coming into effect on November 12, 2016.  These changes will protect businesses from “unfair” contract terms in standard form contracts, where one party is a small business.

The session defined “unfair” terms and our panel of highly qualified lawyers explained the new laws and types of contracts that will be affected.  Real world examples were provided to help guide small businesses in these complex matters.

If you rely on contracts as part of your business activities, it is extremely important that have these reviewed to ensure that they are legally enforceable. Now is the time to act to minimise the risk of contract terms being declared unfair.
