Changes to Standard LIV Contract of Sale of Real Estate as a result of E-Conveyancing

The Law Institute of Victoria Standard Contract of Sale of Real Estate has now been amended to include a new special condition 2 to take into account the new requirements with respect to electronic conveyancing. The Vendor will have the option to select whether electronic conveyancing is applicable by marking “EC” in the appropriate box.  Real estate agents should also familiarise themselves with the new electronic conveyancing requirements.
