Calling all Franchise Stakeholders – Have Your Say On The Franchise Disclosure Register By 26th November

Spread the love

On 15 November 2023 the Treasury released a short survey as part of the government’s review of the Franchising Code of Conduct.

The survey invites input from the franchising community by asking specific questions relating to the Franchise Disclosure Register which was introduced in November 2022.

The questions broadly cover issues about:

  • how effective the Register is in providing information to franchisees;
  • whether there is too much or too little information provided in the Register;
  • for franchisors – the ease of creating a profile in the Register; and
  • how the information in the Register is used by franchisees (i.e. to compare different franchise systems, to find out more about a particular franchise system).

Franchisors, franchisees and other stakeholders in the franchise sector are encouraged to provide their feedback by completing the survey.

Responses are due by Sunday 26 November 2023 and will be anonymous.

Interested stakeholders can provide detailed feedback by email to franchisingreview@treasury.gov.au
