Mark is an Associate.

Mark focuses on the following areas within his litigation practice:

• advising clients in relation to commercial disputes generally with respect to the operation of contracts, franchise agreements, loans and other commercial arrangements at all levels (negotiation, mediation, trials and appeals)
• representing distributors and manufacturers of products that are the subject of disputes (for example in the electricity, laser technology and in the pool and spa industries) both inside and outside Australia
• company Wind Ups and providing strategic advice regarding the conduct of company liquidations and personal bankruptcies
• representing both companies and individuals in relation to disputes over land and property (for example adverse possession, trespass and boundary disputes, easement and covenant disputes, leasing disputes and building disputes)
• assisting clients in relation to the recovery of debts both within and outside Australia. Mark conducts a number of debt recoveries on behalf of clients in many foreign jurisdictions such as England, Wales, Ireland and the United States

Mark has enjoyed particular success in relation to achieving results for his clients at Courts and Tribunals. Mark has also earned the respect of his colleagues and clients alike with respect to his diligent handling of complex court matters involving industrial machinery and the gathering of expert evidence to benefit his clients at trial.

He assesses each matter he assumes control of on behalf of clients and determines the appropriate litigation strategy for that matter which is designed to maximise the outcomes for any given client in terms of the subject matter of the dispute as well being cost and time effective.

Mark has had experience as a commercial lawyer in the past and this has placed him in the unique position to be able to advise clients both from a commercial and litigation perspective when dealing with dispute matters.

Mark is a board member of the Monash Business Awards.  He is also a member of the Commercial List of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Urban Development Institute of Australia, Family Business Australia and Lawdons. Mark also regularly attends professional gatherings in the business and property sectors to keep abreast of everyday issues facing the business and property communities.
